The easiest way to keep caves safe is to stop caving, they claim.

A caving access body in the south of England has demanded an end to caving in order to protect the delicate cave environments.
The Banterhouse Caving Company published yesterday a proposal imploring the UK's national caving body to cease all caving across the country. Within the 73-page document, the BCC insisted that cavers were a cave's main enemy and current conservation initiatives had failed.
“We all agree that caves need protecting,” said a BCC spokesperson. “The disagreement has always been over whether the best way to protect them is to manage caving responsibly or to stop caving. Well, we've decided we all need to stop.”
Given how recent the proposal is, few other organisations have yet had chance to comment, however Dankness Below's investigations suggest that there may be another motive behind the BCC's ideas - that they are now all too old to cave and don't want anyone else having fun either.
